Desires

I have been wanting God to remove my wrong desires from me and praying to that end. It occurred to me today that He wants me to do right in spite of my wrong desires.

To me that's a lot harder. But not impossible, according to His Word.

I need to look for the way of escape promised in I Cor. 10:13 rather than looking for a way to rationalize having what "I" want.

I really enjoy reading your blog! Sometimes it's so hard to make the right decisions, even when we know we want to, so badly. If the "desires" you're talking about are food-related, this is something you might be interested in. It's a brand new FREE text messaging service that Diet.com just launched. It lets you get nutritional information for thousands of menu items and nearly 2000 nationwide restaurants. You just send a text to DIET1 (34381) with restaurant name, menu item and size, and you'll receive a response instantly with the amount of calories, fat, carbs, and protein. You can see an online demo of the service at www.diet.com/mobile. Hope you and your readers find this useful!

Hi, Thanks for visiting my blog and for your suggestions. I read your current post about desires and I have a couple of verses that helped me. Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
And also, Psalms 20:4 May he give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succed.
If you look at these two verses from the perspective of asking God to show you his way direct you and give your heart his desires (the desires of your heart) Truse in him. Blessings. Sherry
